this almost makes no sense, but what I gathered from this is that this guy wants to trade your boosted "D" for a non boosted GSR, right? If so you have to think about what comes with the engine, does it have the ECU, wiring harness, aftermarket mounts (if applicable), tranny, axles? If it does then another question you need to ask is how many mile does it have, does the transmission grind? Why was it pulled?
Go on you own judgement but think about expenses if you go with the GSR swap.

his car is running right now ( runs perfect) he just wants to boost.

my car is also running perfect at the moment, and like i sed both are complete swaps.

he jsut wants to boost his GSR??? Well uh the D series header wont bolt onto a B series... Im so fuckin lost man! Clear it up explain yO'

Do it then, you can always turbo the gsr later,
1st the gsr has WAY more potention than that d15
2nd it probably puts down the same power as yours does now
3rd it has a higher resale value then any d series engine
You gotta think about the mileage on the gsr though, if it has less than 100k your good.

sorry, let me clear it up.

i have a 95 coupe with a single cam on boost (complete kit)

a buddy of mines has a 94 hatch with a gsr motor (n/a)

both cars are in perfect working order.

he wants to trade me (his gsr motor for my single cam w/ the turbo kit.)

i like my whole turbo setup and everthing but in the back of my head im thinking (DAMN A GSR!!)

i am asking your opinion if i should do it or not.

i hope thats better/clearer

His buddy wants his complete D-Series set up in a direct trade for his buddies motors which is a NA GSR. Is that so hard to understand?? I would go with the GSR given that its in good condition with low miles, and complete.

Gotcha. Haven't been thinking to well today! Thanks man, I would go GSR, for three reasons (minus me being jealous);
1. GSR more displacement
2. VTEC
3. You can turbo this bitch too!
4. Your car is also light... with the added Displacement and VTEC it will go faster!!! Theoretically (sp?)

thanks MXD, lol :worthy: by the way what does S.W.A.P mean?

I dunno, i've had that under my avatar for the longest. When the movie S.W.A.T. came out, i thought of something dumb like S.W.A.P. since we frequent a site thats about swapping.

That was with a SOHC VTEC 1.6, Custom Turbo Kit, Arias Pistons, Eagle Rods, Knife Edged and Balanced crank, Stage 3 Head, Web Turbo Grind Cam, STR Fuel Rail, 310cc injectors, Stock ECU, MSD Ignition, and AEM Cam Gear...... Stock Bore on the cylinder walls..... SOHC Cars have plenty of Potential, don't cut them short.......

hey guys, thanks for all your input.

i went ahead and did the trade today.

i really miss my boost, but that gsr sure looks pretty on my garage floor.

besides the single was dieing (fucked up the rings i think) so i decided to just trade.

:spin: :spin:

hopefully put the :worthy: gsr on boost one day. :driver:

ye lol, it wasnt a friend, he's a friend of a friend of a friend.

the funny shit is, hes gonna attempt to put the single on boost in a 91 integ

what??? lol that is stupid. i thought he had a hatch tho??
