yea like the title says i need the torqueing pattern for the intake manifold for a b16..thanks for anyone who can help...

i know you are supposed to go inside out...but not sure on the order

Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Make sure all gasket mating surfaces are clean prior to installation.

Always use new gaskets.

Tighten the intake manifold nuts in 2-3 steps in a crisscross pattern starting with the inside nuts. Tighten the nuts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 Nm).

Make sure that all hoses and wires are connected properly.

Refill the cooling system.

this is for d series
can't get info on B series

will i need a torque wrench to do it or can i use my reg. rachets

torque wrench is RECOMMENDED.
i put mine on with a motherfucking ratchet and then a regular wrench , then the ratchet, then got pissed, then the smoke break , then the ratchet, fuck working on preludes.
I had no problems of leaking or anything without a tq wrench tho

my buddy was tellin me that dont force it...just tighten it with one good tug..just so it wouldnt be overtightend

well here is another question.... i bought a new gasket put the intake mani. on and i had a leak...so pulled it off again.. and one of my injector o-rings broke so i sprayed gas all over and a little got on the gasket...Is the gasket still usable...????

in theory once its been torqued it should not be re-used, but i would prob try and use it...

just be ready to shut it down if it revs out of control

There isn't a specific bolt pattern to follow, just work your way from the center out. I always hand tighten from the middle out, then torque them down from the middle out. Be sure to work the top and bottom bolts evenly.

I'd do something like:

*edit*
You should replace the gasket. I'm not saying that the one you have won't work again, but it would be MUCH better to replace it.

And, DO use a torque wrench on the IM if at all possible. Auto-zone will lend you one for free, you just have to slap down a deposit.

I changed it up.. If you already wrote it down/printed it, re-record it. I had mis-placed the center bolt on the old one due to the angle of the thing.. Kind of an illusion. The other one will work, but this one is the right one.
