That TL is wayyy overpriced. In October 08' my dad got a used 08' TL with 13k on it for $27k. His was certified at an acura dealership too.

yea, carmax wont haggle though. i found some similar cars at acura dealers for about the same price. but obviously at a dealer you can work out price.

That's bullshit, carmax gives HANDS DOWN the worst buy out prices for any car.
Car max = test drive most every car at one place, I'd never trade a car in or buy a car from car max, they give too little for cars and charge too much for cars.

Bringing this back up. I'm thinking I will try to get a loan throgh NASA fcu. I qualify for membership being a NASA contractor employee at NASA Goddard. They seem to have the best rates at about 4-5%. Which is good to know that I can get a good rate.

So I'm still undecided about what car to get. At first I was dead set on a TL. Then I was looking at the new accords. Then at some pre-owned BMWs. And now considering a new wrx or a pre-owned 07-09 legacy or pre-owned wrx. AWD is a big selling point for me but I don't really know anything about subys. Are they reliable? Anything to look out for? What is your opinion on the new wrx's or the legacies from the past few years? I do still would love to get into an 07+ certified pre-owned BMW 3 series but I don't think I can for 20-23k.

Thoughts?

If you get a WRX, you'll hate yourself for not getting the STi.

If you get the Legacy, you'll hate yourself for not getting the WRX.

The legacy to me felt about as sporty as an older accord wagon.

I hear the new STi is not that much better than the new WRX. The new WRX is supposed to be pretty nice.

But an E46 3 series is nicer.

yea they are nice, i just want something a little newer. 07'-10', and the AWD will def be better for winter than the RWD. this isnt CA over here! lol

i think i may test drive a WRX tomorrow and see what i think. i really have to go see/drive one in person. some pictures i think they look OK, others i think they look like mazda 3's.
