You should be able to sell the swap for $2000. With how cheap you are getting these cars, I would part them out. The parts are worth more than the whole. Strip, part, ship. wash, rinse, repeat.
The real issue here is how much time you have. that's the real cost in this. the faster you flip, the more money you have. don't mess with fixing and repairing stuff if you have unfinished projects you want to complete.
So one of the things I've always wanted to do was turn cars into a social thing for me like video games, music, and sports already are. But I didn't want to make a whole bunch of new friends and be responsible for keeping up with them and add another thing on to the list of things I'm already involved in.
My solution was to start my own car crew to get together the car people I'm already friends with.
So far it consists of
1996 Integra LS (me)
2005 RSX Type-S (best friend)
2008 Fit Sport (Ethan)
2004 TSX 6 speed (Brad)
We came up with the name West Florida Imports and Ethan drafted up a logo which would later get made into 3x6 window stickers. We had our first "meet" Saturday night starting at the shop, then at Home Depot where Brad works (nice big open lot), waited for him to get off work and then drove to Bdubs for dinner.
On the way home a GTI rolled up next to us and we took turns racing him besides the TSX which ended up blowing out the clutch on the ride home sadly. It was a slightly older GTI with boltons and a stage 2 tune and the RSX destroyed it both from a dig and from rolling starts. That k20z has me really impressed, its on a stock tune with intake and headers right now.
Just felt like sharing. Any car crew stories from you guys?
Does it smoke on acceleration only?
