Yeah exactly, but I don't know if I want another clean car now. I don't mind putting money into motor, suspension and brakes. I kinda like the idea of a beater with a bad ass moto.

Yep - build it mechanically solid first - then do the rest (cosmetics) a piece at a time. Someting that will run. Not too extreme - but run, a Stage 1 nice and solid.

How about a clean body civic (mmmm-hatch??)......preferably a 92 (b/c they are all VTEC ready). Just make sure it also has a dash color you can live with (to avoid any thought of dealing with that dash swap). And.......no, I am not biased. :D

If the paint is in good shape and its OBD1 (like your swap).......even better and quicker to the streets. Run some type of exhaust, do some maintenance and it all just flows like thai-chi-chuan lol
 
Yeah the coupe is rusted around the rear wheels but nowhere else. Its an Si by the way. I plugged in my dads P28 and after clearing the unburnt fuel it started up and made between 190 -200 PSI acsross. It has 380,000 kms and burns oil. The trans and clutch worked well. The interior is tan and in fair condt.

I left a message, I'm willing to spend $400. I know he will take it lol, ill have it by tomorrow.

As for the integra after its back in my hands I'm getting it looked over by my buddies dad. He's an estimator for a collision shop that has the contract for the Honda dealer here. If its fucked I'm making the coupe a GSR.
 
You won't want to hear this, but, you'll have like $8k. Buy a nice car already!!! I understand the desire to build and tune your own little project, but shit, if I had 8k thrown at me for my Si I wouldn't be looking for another beater. Find a nicer newer reliable car with some balls, a little class, and room for tasteful mods to slake your thirst to tune.

It's kind of like why buy the cheap whore that's gotta slather on the makeup and tape her its in place to pass as a decent broad when you know you could have afforded the bad ass "escort" that actually looks good and will still get nasty if you really wanna? It just doesn't make sense.
 
I truly WANT a beater car and put money in the bank. I might even be able to do that California road trip I wanted to do.

And I just figured out my mom ducked up. She has been taking messages for me while I'm at work and it sounds like I'm only getting $3000 minus the $1000 buy back. My dad and I will sort it out tomorrow. I don't know where $4300 came from. :mad:

So will all of the front and rear suspension transfer over to the Civic? This thing doesn't even have a rear sway or rear discs. :thumbsdown:

What I'm after is the Integra brakes front & back, sway bars front and back and the motor swap. I understand the motor will bolt in with the correct mixture of Civic and Integra mounts & shift linkage? Then I can plug the D16Z6 engine harness up to the B18C1 and NOT run the intake bypass shit?

That looks just like my car did. The tan interior is disgusting though. No matter how much you clean it, it still looks dirty.
 
Haha that sucks. I dislike it too, black FTW. Ill do my best to clean it, I have no ambition to rip it all out. I also read that the GSR seats will swap over front and back. :)
 
for a Civic coupe you would need the 2dr lower portion and 4 dr upper portion from back seat on the Integra

vice versa for the hatch.. 4 dr lower w/ 2 door upper
 
Very weird. Whatever only the fronts matter anyway.

This guy is being a dink. He's taking the stereo and whole exhaust. Its stock, rusted and leaks hella. :dunno:
 
I went out and found a black interior and switched mine out. I got everything for 300 from a junk yard. Totally worth it imo.
 
Well it depends on how much I like the EG. I actually think the interior design is gross. Id rather have an EF or another DC2. :( I really the the exterior of EGs, always have.

QFT. I almost purchased an 07 white Civic EX coupe before I found my RSX. It was manual, certified, low miles, and pretty much every option. It had a tan interior which looked nasty though, even after the dealership detailed it. It was enough to make me pass in the end...
 
What is with the Canadian Hondas???? A Coupe Si???? What?

USDM Hatchabck Si......no power windows/locks but in the states there is no coupe Si.....the top of the line is the EX Coupe with all the trimmings

Can we please try tro find a non-rusted car or is that too tall of an order for Canada?

And the whole interior switch out.....dash swap ain't no drive in the country. And a brown dash looks like crap with black seats lol

Ahh just paint the phuking dash Froggie....give it another coat every 2 or 3 years.

Like the thread title change - suggest moving it from Tragedy to Train Wreck.
 
Find an EK. Pretty sure just about everything switches over, and looks a hell of a lot better too.
