i don't know what compelled you to buy a ford even if it is the top end trim but i also don't really understand why you were driving around a green auto eg for a while either. so with that in mind the tint looks good, gansta black on black with black trim the blackest you can get it. why did ford have to put so much chrome on the tail lights, you could take them apart and paint them with black chrome

Well i am bidding on a set of used ones from an 06 fusion. Then going to hopefully do some modifications and make them a little bit more... unchromed :) And I also am looking to upgrade the wheels and tires also, but I have to wait until winter is over, then I will start to look. But the Michelin Pilots handle well in the snow.

I looked into the 3.2 TL range, but i didnt see paying that cost for a car that didnt offer AWD. You know how the winters are here. It could be 2 feet of snow one day, rain the next, ice storms that evening and a high of 55 for the next day.

I had zero issues this year in the TL. Even during the ice over. In fact the TL did way better then I thought it would in the snow thanks to the VSA.

I like AWD but in Maryland I think its kinda pointless, it's rare for their to be snow on the roads for longer then 24 hours.

My problem with American cars and cheaper cars in gen is they feel just that. I love having a solid built car. I rented a 2006 GranPrix with very little miles on it. holy shit talk about a piece of shit car. They had nice ideas in mind but they pulled them all off half assed.

I understand your point, but i travel alot to central PA to my parents place. And I needed something that will get through the snow, that my civic once got stuck in... lol I actually was set on the TL type-S, but the sticker ran about 4k more than i wanted to spend.

    Fords are poopy.

Bad buy. Enjoy being upside down on loan/value for the entire time you own the car. You will have to pay someone to take it. mark my words.

Ill mark them.. but i dont plan on getting rid of this anytime soon. I am set with a great interest and a small payment. So even if the value is down, i will hopefully keep this car for a while.

Im not gonna lie, when i first heard about this car i thought it was lame. I think they look pretty cool though, and my aunt owns one so I got to take a ride in it, they are really nice, very smooth, and I like the interior alot. Nice buy.

We have a whole fleet of Fords at work, some trucks, vans and a big diesel. They all run pretty good. Just had one die at 256k miles. Alot of them are over 100k now. I don't really see why people think they are poorly built cars, its not the 80's anymore. Some of the cars are on the top lists for quality even. This is coming from someone who never really liked Ford from the beginning.

I'm talking about a different quality. Kinda like my old 98 Civic LX, the car had 112K miles on it and ran perfect. car never had any issues outside of the exhaust rusting out.
car ran great. but it was still a dinky little pieced together car that felt like shit.

My problem with American cars is they're even worse when it comes to build quality and just how the car feels as a whole. I've NEVER been in an american car that felt really well built. Before buying the TL I checked out the Caddies. It looked and felt like walmart brand clothes with the tags removed and a nice brand name placed on top of the old logo. No thanks!

Sorry, I'm still going to disagree. We will take my `98 Sentra for example, same year as your Honda. To me, that feels like a cheap car. The brakes are horrible, multiple sensors have broken, heater fan resistor card broke, rusts from the inside out and handles bad compared to the Hondas and GM's I've had. Its only got 98k on it too.

My fiance looked at a couple cars and ended up buying a G6. Made in America, bigger, good on gas for a v6, great on trips, handling isn't bad, acceleration isn't bad, cushy seats and with the sales and incentives got more for her dollar.

Heck, alot of GM, Ford and Toyota parts are made and tested in the same plants. The Delphi plant I used to work at manufactured and engineered hvac parts for gm and toyota and also did the wind tunnel testing on them. I think its just all opinion. I don't like Toyotas linup, won't buy a Nissan again, don't car for most European, like most gm cars, most chysler, and Hondas.
