dear lord, i won't even buy food with this shit in it. and who honestly knows what the rest of it is....

They've updated their document to include the heart problems.

Still a hard pass from me.
What would make you change your mind at this point? What evidence would be required to get it?

FDA doesn't guarantee safety in any regard.

what we really need is smarter people out there lol. and that isn't going to happen.

no, it certainly doesn't guarantee anything, but it at least means it went through the full process and is a legally binding contract of harm assumption, unlike today where you're SOL if something goes wrong and ruins your life or takes it.

My attitude may change if i was out and about, but i'm not. I'm working from home, my wife is home, our circle is small.

hardly.

How about the FDA endorsing it, for starters.
They did an emergency approval because the timeline for normal endorsement is long and wouldn't be sufficient at fighting the pandemic. How else would you propose they fight the pandemic? Numbers show how effective it is at reducing deaths in the immediate short term.

Just trying to drive into this a bit. I keep asking people why and trying to listen to concerns because its not going away. Missouri is a good example of low vaccine rates and not going away. (They don't care though, so doesn't matter). Is most of your small circle vaccinated then? Is your wife?

Did ya'll do a lot of stuff before covid/baby?

I'm not here to challenge what they should have done --

but ok :D

They should have actually had a 2 week shut down, not this essential worker crap. everything but police and fire and ems or something.
banned foreign travel in.
enforced airport 14 day quarantine pools / docks / etc where things come in must sit and wait it out.

The India/delta variant got here in 2 days just like the UK variant did because the process is broken. We should have never gotten isolated variants in 2021.

None of that has to do with a vaccine. Frankly, we probably wouldn't need one at all if they implemented these things correctly and other countries did too.

Much like today, if you go to Africa, your dr will give you shots that you probably never would take as a US citizen, like yellow fever or typhoid.

Instead of inconveniencing some travelers, and actually enforcing policy, the chosen approach was put experimental drugs in people of which have now killed many people and left others with life-long problems who were never sick.

If Fox News or Trump endorsed it. :p
Uhmmmm...you do know Trump got the vaccines rolling right. We have vaccine and the rollout because of Trump...Biden had 0 to do with it. And id still tell Trump to shove the vaccine up his ass.

I missed this edit the first time around.

most people i know/see are vaccinated. but not all. my wife is not. She was pregnant when it rolled out and we didn't want to even consider it.
Now, my boy cant get one anyway (not like i would...) so we still have to keep him safe nonetheless so even if she and i got vaccinated, and it doesn't give me a heart attack like it did my hygienist and killed her at 45, we'd still have to maintain distance and keep the circle close and only those we actually trust to be safe. I've had some heart muscle enlargement stuff in the past so the fact that these things are causing cardiomyopathy things makes it even scarier for me.

We are both working from home a year and a half.
we wear masks in stores/etc.
we wash well immediately when we get home.

if we do catch it, we'll probably be fine in a few days.
I'm also pretty damn sure we both had it last february before anyone knew what it was.
we were both sick as hell with fevers and it's the only time in 5+ years that I've known my wife has been sick at all, not even a cold.

I live in a small town of 10,000 people.
in the county, there's 4 new cases a day average and most of those are in one city in the county. less than 1 per 100,000.

I don't really go anywhere, and if we do, it's safely done and outside for the most part.

Also, trump got a vaccine early on and told everyone to get it.

Actually studies are showing that vaccinated mothers are providing some level of protection to infants via breastfeading/pumping. That is one of the reasons my wife choose vaccination while pregnant (second trimester).

I got vaccinated, got my second Pfizer shot a week and a half ago. I don't really give a shit about any of the political shit either way and I have no opinion of Covid and whether or not it's real and whether or not the vaccines work...but my lawyer is old AF and he wanted me vaccinated if he's gonna be spending a buncha time around me over the next year, so I said 'OK'. Lol. No side effects other than my arm was sore for a day or so.

For what it's worth when I was 'inside' I allegedly tested positive for Covid, but I never had any symptoms. Whatever. 🤷

My wife's gay co-worker and 10 of his gay friends went to PTown in RI to some event. In order to get in you had to show your Sheep card..i mean Vaccination card...so every single person at that event was fully vaccinated. 10/11 of them got infected with Covid.

The news keeps reporting "Break Through" Infection cases on the daily however the CDC is not tracking these cases. So obviously that means millions upon millions of vaccinated people are getting infected but it's being wayyyy under reported and not tracked because ...well...the government. They are not going to admit that they were wrong about the vaccine working after they told you that you were safe and can be free if you got vaccinated. And now guess what...we will be going back to masks, social distancing and probably another economic crash.

This has nothing to do with Biden or Trump so don't make it political.

CDC just recommended masks in schools for k-12 all this coming year.

breakthrough cases are hard to track. They do say that the effects of it will be reduced, so i'd like to hear an update on how bad those 10 folks have it.

They "SAY" the effects will be reduced, but the fact of the matter is the overwhelming majority of people who got Covid in the first place had little or no symptoms. That's my whole point about this vaccine. With a close to 100% survival rate, the majority of people not having symptoms, and the fact that you can still catch and transmit Covid while vaccinated...why the fuck would anyone take it when its experimental.

The only people where it would be worth being vaccinated on an experimental basis is the severely health compromised people.

You know when people say do your research....well...this former Pfzier Employer did her research like a mother fucker....an absolute must watch.
