Assembled short block to tranny.
bolted it in the car and conected axles.
tommorow i will bolt on head and finish up installation
i still need a distrubuter , and i am waiting for my cam gears
by end of next week it should be up and running

Installed engine/ tranny into car.
one thing i must say is that the megen header looks really good
installed harness. just waiting for my cam gears and distrubuter.
i will finish this weekend
allmost completed :D

i recieved my cam gears on wedesday and bolted on the head
thursday i installed the cams and timed the engine
friday i installed the headers and partical harness
did the valve lash and put oil in the engine
i primed the moter and god damn it has alot of compresion
sounds great but it was 15 degress out here in n.y. last night
tommorow i will have here ready to run

she's alive!!!

starts right up
idle is at 850 with all of the manifold work
i need to iron out a few things and put it on the road on monday

nice!

Glad to see hard work paying off.

yeah thanks.
it wants to rev :D
i have a wideband hooked up and with the chipped ecu it runs lean all over, off the chart lean:confused:
i found a company call xenocron in nj.
he going to make a house call so i plugged the original ecu back in and at idle it holds at 850-900 rpms at 15:2.1 on the afr.
it wants alot of fuel. at soon as i throttle up and goes lean for a second and misses. it builds back up but i cant drive it yet
this saturday i will have it on the road and maybe to the dyno.
it idles great with all the work :) and revs like it wants to go to maybe 8400rpms. if it makes power their then that what it will be.in the summer i will open her up ;)

finally got plates on the car
tommorrow its time to tune
i am finally going to drive her and see well she holds up to my abuse
after the first five minutes of engine breaking i will pop VTEC

Chris from Xencrone came to me on saturday for a tune
great guy. got me runing safe
car make alot of power.
i melted the cat so it was chopped off.
i am running 2 1/4 piping thru oem style resinator and muffler.
along with the stock air box
the engine pulls hard all the way to its 7700 rpm redline.
Chris said that with all of the stock parts on the car the engine map sensor isn't reaching the last fuel/timing coloum.
with all of the power on tap its running very safe.
when i change the cams and valve springs i will rev it to 8500 rpms.
this is a sucess and if anyboy has the extraparts lying around from a h22 swap its worth it to swap out the rods and crank

in two weeks i will hit the dyno . i feel its around 185+whp with the stock parts on ii

so far i put 270 miles on the engine. runs like a champ.
i will switch to torco sr-5 0w20 in about 2 days.
also will be using torco rtf fluid.
i have to say, the car has alot of torque thanks to the 95mm stroke and it makes power past the 7700 rpm redline i have it set to. plus with the long gears it makes highway driving a pleasure.
at 300 miles i will beat her up alittle bit :D
i will hit the dyno this week to see what its pulling at the wheels

Glad to hear the car is coming along so well, cant wait to see what kind of numbers you get. I've been debating about putting the f22 crank in my h22 lately.

i will be going to the dyno today
i know the car makes power past 7700rpm but thats what i have the limiter set to.
when i see the graph then i will adjust the limiter based on power
8400rpms looks real good

back from the dyno.
they are going to email me the pics.
we did four pulls 3 in 3rd gear, 1 in 4th with no crome tuning
first pull was with the stock air box and exhaust.
it made 174hp and 151 ft of torque
next pull was with the disconnected intake pipe
it made 182 hp and 154 ft of torque
power dropped at vtec due to a lean mixture.
with the stock exhaust and auto cams i am really happy with the results
a 2" muffler really keeps the car quite.
the torque stayed flat untill redline.
i think with more tuning i could hit 190 with the quite exhaust. and 180+ with the airbox atached.
i would be happy with that untill the sumer when i get a quality header and 3" exhaust.
for a car that has the oem factory intake and exhaust i am pleased
i will try for 200whp with the factory exhaust and just a intake and a good dyno tune
also going to switch out the oem factory 97 auto cams for some jdm ones.that should help alot

what do you guys think?

I say those are awsome numbers for an untuned motor with stock exhaust and airbox. In that case it sounds like you could pull alot more power out of that motor. And I definatly like the idea that its a real sleeper with such a quite exhaust. Congratulations on your build.

tonight i will find out if i reached my hp goals
i am going back to t&r racing for another three untunde pulls with the changes that i made
drop in k&n filter , jdm honda cams and a timing adjustment
also changed back to factory plugs

lets see if i hit my goal
