mini update. got my fuel rail back form the powdercoater. also bought a water pump and other misc shit from the dealer.

pics of the fuel rail. im really pleased how it came out. its just a stock B16 fuel rail that i bought from B16 (mike). then i sent it out to the powdercoater. ive also removed the stock brass pipe and installed an adapter for a -6an line.

edit. i also had the hardline bracket modded with an -an fitting

first batch of parts from honda/acura

type r oil pump and some other misc bolts and shit. kinda pissed cause i ot giped on a crank pulley key. but somehow got some axle nuts that i didnt order, lol. gonna call em tomorrow and get it sorted out.

still waiting on the machine shop. should get that back this week, at least i better... batch #2 from honda should be in this week as well.

lol. got my tap M11x1.5 to chase the main and head bolt threads. that is if i ever get my block black, haha. i also cleaned up the rear main seal plate and instaled the new seal onto it.

gsr/itr windage tray
water pump
misc bolts and shit again

i also got a few things together getting ready for the block to come back.

cleaned up the rear main seal plate, and installed a new seal

put together the intake mani, fuel rail and injectors. had to trim the seals, which was a bitch, but they fit nice and tight now

installed on the head

just waiting on the block... ill give them til tomorrow before i raise more hell, haha.

anyway. finally got the block back from the machine shop. bill was a little more then expected cause fixing the bolt hole ended up costing like 150. but all in all it wasnt too bad. ended up at like 285 for everything. i checked ring gaps and they are all within spec and not all over the place either, they are all pretty much the same.

i started putting it back together. i had all the pistons installed, but i popped one out by accident. and i have th biggest piece of shit ring compressor ever so its such a bitch installing the pistons. its literally a 2 person job with this thing.

shortblock is assembled all clearances with the ACL's were in spec. uploading pics now

back from the machine shop. and z10 plug installed. misc other unnecessary holes plugged. notice the repaierd hole. cylinders are nicely bored/honed

pistons installed, bearings installed

checking clearances. can see the repair again.

on the money

oil squirters about to be installed. ive heard a few stories of these bad boys backing out, just ask B16 mike. loctite should prevent that

all installed

everything lubed up, ready for final assembly

mains, rod end caps, and crank girdle installed. also oil pump, water pump and rear main seal, and finally windage tray.

and where i ended for the day. ARP headstuds installed on the block. looks sick.

im hesitant to install the head just yet. since i still need to transport the engine back to my place in baltimore before i can install it. and with my apt being on the 2nd floor it might be better to just wait to put the main pieces together afterwards.

Are you going to follow Arp's recomendations for installation with their lube at 70ftlbs and hand tight in the block? Or are you doing something different? Just curious is why I'm asking.
