im doin a LS/VTEC swap wit a b18 block and a GSR head, i wana go high compression, shuld i go wit the CTR pistons or the ITR pistons, or if there are any other good ones out there u guys know of that are good for high compression like 11.5:1 or higher? and any good rods or shuld i stay wit stock ls? thanks for u help yall

CTR pistons should put you near 12:1 CR in that motor, use your stock rods, and arp rod bolts

iv heard things goin round that ls rods cant go over 7000 or 7500rpm and if i can upgrade i can go up to like 8500rpm max. is this true? if so what is a good brand rod for this?

if your nervous about them, then get them shotpeened, if your still nervous get some aftermarket rods to handle the power uptop.

Quick calculations...

GSR head
stock head gasket
B18 89mm stroke block

with....

CTR pistons = 12.6:1
JDM ITR pistons = 11.9:1
USDM ITR pistons = 11.3:1
