The choice was very hard but it had to be a superbike, and I like all the main Japanese companies such as Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda and Kawasaki. Gixxers are the fastest from factory, Kawasaki and Honda just came out with some mean babies as well, Yamaha has the best styles... what to do?
So there I am at my local bike dealership talking to my good friend that works in Service (Ducati certified mechanic).
As soon he saw me he tells me something along the lines of: "look what we just got in man"... pointing at a beautiful, Yellow '99 Ducati 748S, BONE STOCK, IMMACULATE, ready to be serviced.
Long story short, that was it, I knew it.
I really wanted a new bike, but since this one was so immaculate and well kept, since the previous owner that traded it in was a super cool guy and since I got such a great deal on it, I made my decision.
So, without keeping you guys reading any longer, enjoy...!
I love my Duc's torque, remember guys, this bike is a V-twin, not a 4 cyl like R6/R1, Gixxers etc, so it has loads of low end torque just like V8s do when we are talking about cars.
Ducati's are known for not being the fastest high-revving, top-end performers (V8 analogy applies again) if compared to some of their Japanese cousins, they are also known to be kinda uncomfortable when ridden, due to the fact that the seats warm up a lot since the pipes are routed that way, they have a dry clutch which is harder to squeeze and the position... but the positive side is that it out-handles anything, it sounds mean and it's original. When I go to shows/hangouts, I constantly hear people mumbling something like "look, a Ducati" and "look at that single-sided swing arm" etc... kinda feels good since I never received too much attention before.
Well, that's about it guys, just wanted to share with you my new pride and joy.
Let me know what you think!
Oh, and any suggestions on what to name her?
