well the ecu is powering up the injectors.
some how the there is a disconnect somewhere between the ECU and the wires going to the harness.

at the plug the only thing that lights up is the brown wire (inj.1) and the yellow wire powering the yell/blk wires.

the weird part is that even though the brown wire lights up right at the plug it still does not light up at the injector clip! Unfortunatley i only had minutes to diagnose before it got too dark to see so I'll continue when I have a few hours to spend. I know I could get it if I had more time...:(

thanks alot man.
I tinkered with it for a few minutes but I just can't seem to get past the injectors.

I've got to find the main source from the ecu other than the 4 pins. there's got to be other wires that are grounding them or something. we shall see.

There are Helms schematics for OBD0 & OBD1 setups - probably covers your exact model. And other stuff that may be useful.

They are in Adobe .pdf format can be printed in "Tile" format over the number of pages you select and in landscape. Then, just trim the edges and tape the pages together to get a nice blueprint size wiring schematic that's easy to read and you can make notes on.

Good luck with it bro.

got it!
thanks alot man. let me know your addy so I can cover your shipping costs.
I really do appreciate the time and effort to help me with my research info ;)

Naw, that was a freebie hoss. Pass it on some day in my houour to another dude that needs some help. Brotherhood, ya know!! My pleasure sir.

Shipping cost was only $4.50 for your reference for the "Pass along" part to put things in perspective.

I hope it helps you out.

thanks man. holy crap that's alot of info.
I stared at the wiring diagram and found a few points that I may have missed on the injectors. it seems 2 of them (red and blue) are powered by 2 other wires on the harness so i have to check it out and see what's going on.

also, with the p28 running a GSR map would that have anything to do with it?
I know the GSR has some seconday butterfly crap that I keep hearing. I'm not too familiar with it and never paid attention to it since I never owned on. just a thought.

I think it's the same setup as the h22's, there is a secondary butterfly in the intake that opens up during high rpm so you can get more low end torque during lower rpm

Good.

I don't know.

ok so today I got a friend to help.

after much troubleshooting and double checking we tapped into one injector wire and grounded one of them. (yellow). Literally, i took a wire an grounded it to the chassis.

when I turned the key geuss what. that injector immediately sprayed.

SOooooo now I have to go to the drawing board and figure out what grounds them besides the ECU. first order of business is getting another p28 and see what happens.

ohh and by the way I got rid of the rsx and picked up another beauty ;)

Maybe it's the ECU that isn't grounding the injector?

Injectors have two wires, isnt one signal/power from the ECU and the other ground? Try and trace the injectors wire as far back as you can and see if its cut/some sort of interence in it.

Or maybe it has something to do with the ECU afterall.

ecu supplies the ground to the colored wires.
the yellow/black (or red/black) have a constant supply.

theres something in the harness screwed up.

the good news is I now have another way to go with diagnosing. almost there!

I first I used jump wires from the ecu directly to the wires on my harness and still nothing. Then I took a wire from the ecu and used another wire to ground it. turned the key and they sprayed. (that paticular one)

so the plan is to check the dizzy and crank angle sensot to see what is keeping the ecu from gounding the signal.

I had to have it. The price was right, the color, the mods, and the previous owner babied it.
driving a turbo is so much fun

we shall see how the crx compares after it's done. other the mpg's I dont see anyother reason the do any further mods to the CRX. add A/C and ride in a clean honda:)

I loved driving my friends WRX. It was the one year school bus yellow looking color the year before they brought the STi stateside. He did the same thing and added all the STi equipment. I  Subarus.
