i`m curious .. If you have a standard d15b (92ps) ... and change the cylinderhead with a jdm d15b vtec, complete with dizzy etc... Will this turn the engine into a a similar jdm 130bhp version ? (obviously running propper vtec wiring and ecu)
Does the block have to do with the mod too or not ...

To run a jdm d15b vtec , the best ecu for that engine is a p08, that i know.
However i couldnt get hold of it, and so got a p28 stock.
Now will this work fine stock ? i heared it runs rich ..or is it just an exageration ?
Running a p28 with a sohc vtec motor.
Only code i`m getting is an o2 heater sensor code obviously cause my sohc uses a 1wire o2 sensor.
I was gonna get a 4 wire to match the p28 but i donno if the prob is coming from the o2 thing, and dont wanna buy a 4 wire o2 for nothing.

So, as you might know on civics there`s only a place for a 45Amp battery.
I just changed mine and everything works great.
Replacing the battery with a bigger one is out of the question.
I noticed that the first time i started the car just after charging the battery .. it fired right off in 0.5...
I`m shifting from OBD2 to OBD1.
Got Conversion Harness and obd1 ecu.
Only prob is i got the obd2 engine harness and i donno what wiring is needed to connect an obd1 dizzy.
Any how to`s about this ? What wires need to be swapped ?
hey guys i know this sounds strange to ask but is there a way to check the ignitor and coil inside the dizzy just buy using its plugs .. ?
ie: instead of removing the dizzy cap and rotor... ?
why u may ask ? .. well cause the rotor screw is jamed !

Just did an obd2 to obd1 ecu swap and now the engine wont rev over 5000.
Reconnected my obd2 ecu it runs ok, but i just need to switch to obd1.
Could it be wiring problem?

So assuming a couple of you know that a 3 stage D15B vtec exists :P ... do you have any idea how the 2 vtec solenoids are connected to the ecu ??
Usually there`s only 1 solenoid and so only 1 connection on the ecu. So how do they work ? and which ecu do they use ?

Basically my car wont start very easily first thing in the morning. I`d have to crank it up some 3 - 4 times before it does.
But then for the whole day it just fires off.
Any comments on what could it be ?

I`m running a usdm p28 on a jdm d15b vtec.
The ecu was giving me code 22 and code 41.
For the 22 code since the d15b apparently doesnt have a VTP sensor ... i just taped the VTP to the VTSolenoid and the code vanished.

Now my question is : will a code 41 (ie: primary oxygen sensor heater)...
K so, got a code 22 from my usdm p28 running an obd1 engine.
Wanted to know does this engine have a VTP sensor ?
If not i heared about tricking the ecu by splicing a wire from the vtec solenoid to the vtec pressure sensor wire. Does this solve prob ?

Got a jdm d15b with no probs whatsoever .. powerfull as hell for a small 1.5 motor.
Anyway, my little prob is that sometimes (on rare occations) it doesnt wanna start.
At first i thought the battery was being drained .. but no, so i am thinking its the coil inside the...
I am confused about what sort and type of camber kits i should fit on my ek.
There are skunk2, SPC, Omnipower .. there are even Top adj ball joints.
I was going for a skunk2 kit but heared about the screws stripping off ..and well thats not very safe innit ?

I first bent the nut back so the nut could turn .. then used the impact drill.

I got a JDM D15B and since i`m doin a clutch job i was wondering if i`d also upgrade the flywheel.
I dont know what to do actually cause i got many opinions ..
Will an oem clutch work equally well with a light flywheel ?

I removed my cat for a couple of months for test purposes .. will stick it back on asap.
However my question is, i`ve heared that if a cat is removed it will degrade and cannot be put back on ... is this true or just a rumour ?
