!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!
Took a lil trip over to the empire st bldg this weekend. I have lived in NYC 3.5 years and have NEVER been. A friend of mine visited over the weekend and, since she is from "out of town", I decided to take her to see it.

Photos below are 2 pics of the main lobby, one photo of the 102'nd flr observation deck (taken from 86th flr deck)and several pics from the 102 of manhattan.

This just looks neat

is it really considered a trip when its in the same city you live in? lol

That said, i've never been up it either. everytime i've tried to go the elevators were dead or it was closed, or the feng wah bus just pulled up and i'm not messing with that. lol

Thanks. Now I have a woody.

Its a pretty unique view of the city. My apt BLDG is visible from one of the photos I took.

$35 each to get to the 102nd floor deck, 200 feet higher than the 86thflr deck.

IMHO the view from the 86th flr was better. No glass between my eyes & the "view", only $20 instead of $35. I recommend skipping the 102nd flr as the view does not change (just 200 ft higher and behind glass).

Never been up it but I'll probably pass it tomorrow.

Its amazing when you're in town, you really don't notice too much. I have a client in the building that butts up the ESB. I didn't even realize this the first few trips I took to visit.
