not much progress.... ordered a new petcock then going to replace that and look over the carb that is probably rejetted. most likely going to order a new intake boot as well.

going to put fresh gas in it too when im done. i bet that will help with the slow startup a bit. gas has been in there and had stabil in it for almost 2 years.

Got it out of the closet today and took it for a rip around the condo farm. Just in time to start pulling it apart :) cleaning the oil and dirt out of the crannies and cleaning all the parts up nice. Need a few extra things before reassembly.... going to redo the jets and mod up the slide a bit. And new petcock of course.

new air cleaner housing gasket, carburetor /housing assembly gasket, lower carb gasket, new carb screws so far...

Going deep down the rabbit hole. Found the spark plug was loose which probably made the bike start like crap and louder. Replaced with a race plug. Modded the air box for better flow. Pulled the carb it may already have the jets i want in it... it looks like it’s been opened.

and a sweet video of them in action!

Tach is completed, pcv is good (I think lol) so swapped in a new grommet and got the tank back on.

I am on the lookout for a new speedometer housing that isn’t triple digits. Ah rare sport bike parts....

new fancy poly intake boot. Got the jets and extra screws too. Still debating if I want to take the carb apart without the gaskets.

Well finished up the carb, rejetted it and shimmed the needle. It was aftermarket so I set it to stock length and added a spacer for .03 . Then threw everything together. I hope it works tomorrow!
