Well the time has come nicer temps have sprung ! Last weekend i tried to get the bike started it pumped until the battery died. Charged it and got a gallon of gas and boom it fired. Ran for a minute parked it.

However today I pulled that bad boy out fired it up and went for a few miles ride after airing up the tires. Feels great but it’s leaking from the primary cover fill gasket. I ordered that an another $20 bottle of Mobil 1.

I want to move up to a bigger bike but I love this little shitcan so much it’s an awesome Bike and puts a smile on my face. It doesn’t go fast or handle all that great but it sounds so good and gets great mileage.

Might as well go for it and get a full on Honda Africa. My old coworker in Guatemala had one and rode that thing everywhere even with wife on it. Hauled ass and could go anywhere. Lots of tech too.

Africa is super nice! However it’s twice the price and I can only ride 8 months of the year.

This is all set… should have just replaced the gasket but I pulled the oil drain and the oring disintegrated. That turned into a thing trying to get one from the Harley place nearby which sucks. Ended up getting an oring that didn’t really feel quite right despite being what right size it was, so I used a crush washer. Getting the front set off takes longer than changing the primary oil.

I have no idea where that one lonely 10mm scampered off too, lol

Welp great news. I fixed a long standing issue with the blast starting hard when cold, and one that just happened. Ran the carb dry at idle before the new owners test ride and it threw gas everywhere. Float seemed stuck so I unstuck it abs replaced the worn needle valve. No more gas throwing up from the float and it starts quickly now! We are ready for delivery. Dude lives right up the street from my office too.

Great news. In true hondaswap fashion I’ve come full circle. My first Honda since 2002…… hopefully I don’t wreck it like all the other Hondas in my life.

Put a deposit on a 2015 Honda CTX700. 7700 miles and fucking smooth as silk.
