yo reckedracing which would u lyk me to get JDM Engine Depot or JDM Engine Depot???
Avoid the type S
you're paying an insane amount of money for the extra 20 hp

you want an OBD2 H22, it'll have lower mileage and be in better shape
but then you want to covert from hyrdolic tensioner to manual and you'll need to get all OBD1 electronics, and then you need to have an OBD0->OBD1 conversion harness to plug a P13 into your car
or a chipped P28 for boost

order from this guy

That's my friends car, so i know what he has in it. He did get the hook up on a few small things, but for the most part he has about 7500 in it, not including the car. the rwd_crx guy said he has 5-6k, soo, thats not too far off. mostly the shit my friend got hooked up on was aftermarket parts that weren't necessary.
my bad, i thought you meant 1500 over the 2k for the H22

probably more than that. One question i don't think anyone has even asked is, why do you want 500-700hp? What are you planning to do with the car? If you are gonna be tight on $$, then how do you expect to be able to afford to trailor this thing to the drag strip and race? You don't really think that at closer to 700hp this thing will be streetable do you?

in my opinion, a lower hp car that you can reasonably drive on the street or a road race track would be much more enjoyable.

well i have the trailor in the backyard tho lol... well im planning to do with the car for drag and race @ same time.. so far ive been race with anyone pretty much with my 95 blue civic gsr engine sometime i didnt make it to beat sum1 else so i would like to smoke everyone all the time when dey decide to race w/ me on the street.. so am gettin used with my gsr motor comes with 200 hp so i think i need to get little alots power to make little wild on the street or anywhere i go lol

P.s I totally agree with your opinion.. That's make a dam sence! Lol

200 hp isn't enought for me to drive the car on the street lol

GSR's DO NOT HAVE 200HP
and they lack torque

try the H series and you'll be impressed

Dam! That's pretty cheap for me to buy this engine!!.. O sure ill order from this guy when am done doing with 91 hatchback then sellin it for 3 grand then get the h22 engine/motor mount to ready put the engine into crx @ same day ( if I want to do it in the morning till mightnight) lol

Is this site obd1 h22 or obd2 h22 ?

I already know about the OBD0->OBD1 conversion harness thanks dude

Once again which would u rather to using p13 ecu or the p28 ecu with chipped for boost ?

This sounds so great plan for me to get an h22 fo sho =)

that site only lists the OBD1 H22
I'm not sure why they don't list the OBD2 H22 but they must have them
or scout local junk yards for a wrecked 96+ prelude

if you're going boost you should use a chipped P28
or hondata if you're looking for 700hp

learn how to type dude. my head hurts from trying to make sense of what you say.

I think he plans on driving this on the street.

700 hp is not streetable.

I know you have a hard time speaking kid but using "for sure" after everything isn't necessary

I have to go back to work, but I'll elaborate on my thoughts when I get home.

O0o is the obd1 pretty good ? Or obd2 h22 is pretty tights ?

Its a bad idea to get the engine from junkyard cause they could be really damaged! Or something like that.
Ok allright perfect.. Ill use a chipped p28 no plm at all..

if i had a daily driver that was built good on boost and was capable of ~500whp, and then turn down the timing advance and boost to run ~350-400whp on the street with a dual diaphram clutch and full face kevlar clutch disc, and drive it with skill to maintain clutch life, would you guage that as hard to handle?

that's my plan.... and turn it up for when i hit the track. possibly even swap the clutch out. it only took me a day the first time i ever swapped a clutch, and now it's far less.

i would love to have the power on tap. and i think if your a driver of skill, you can handle it. it's not something you'd want to get caught in stop and go traffic on the highway in. but cruizing around town with a general 30mph speed limit and such should be no issue i'd expect. i have yet to drive a car that powerful tho, excuse the nubness. this summer i'll have the chance to drive my buddies E85 fully built 4G63, atleast 500whp, if not 650 as said by slow boy racing, who built the long block. :D

just do this, dude. come up with about $1500 more and you could.

I can't remember the name, I'll try to find out later today. I do remember that they are from a smaller new company, cheaper than rota's i think, and were pretty light. i personally don't like the looks of them though.

that doesnt sound like skill. that sounds like driving crazy. period.

no skill is when every shift you make is a good one, no extra slip, and not to early to be rough. and not driving like an idiot all the time, i'm talking about taking off from a street light like there was a cop watching you all the time, even when there's not. your describing exactly the same method of driving described in the 'how to be a street ricer' thread.

Oh yea, and for rwd and yblegal talking about having a shitload of hp, do you really have a grasp of how much that is? seriously, drive a car with 300-350 hp and see how much that is. Not trying to make any assumptions about driving skill or anything, but that is a lot of power.
