Pump stuff can vary so much. You can get a good batch...no doubt. But, yes, it's inconsistent...like 70% instead of 85% (winter as an example).
Then add in the fact of it sitting....like winter time. Any condensation is bad news for E85. Been thinking about The blends offered by a few race gasoline makers.
$10/gallon is high but if I only drag race and tow it there....not that much gas is consumed. Couple bucks a pass.
Ethonal doesn't store as well as basic gasoline. In terms of the prepper nation.....only works if you can still have access to products to distill. Hope the zombies don't like corn.
they have a WAY better selection of fabrics and resins than the average parts store or art supply places around me
The rumors on water condensation and how it can ruin stuff seem scientifically applicable. Especially for a car that can sit for months at a time. Talking to some seasoned hard core drag racers gave me the info on pump E85 and the variations that are within the loose ass regulations. Add to the fact pump E85 in my town is AM/PM....their gas has always been known as bottom feeding crap.
But I agree...I can't really know unless I try. But the thought of crap being ruined b/c my car sat has sketched me out.
I have a fuel pump. But not sure if it's big enough. Should be. I know a car (K20) that runs FTW Purple on the same Walbro. He had ID 1000 injectors, ported IM, and S2 cams. Stock block. Made 264whp!! But the gas claims to be 120 octane!
a guy? lolForgot to mention that the tires are Nitto NT01's. I talked to a guy named Katman and he's got a similar set up. I used his experiences to make the decision to buy the tires. I figure (if I don't like them) I can try another brand when these need to be changed. I'm hoping they last for half a dozen trips to the track. Just time attack for now.
a guy? lol
more like 'the man'
