it's not cucumber, probably zucchini. The cucumber stays low to the ground an grows outward almost like a vine. I noticed today that some of my corn plants are flowering (blooming? not sure what to call it with corn). I also have a tomato that's already turning red and quite a few bell peppers and serranos that are getting bigger. It's gonna get interesting here in a few weeks when I have more stuff than I know what to do with. I'm already at the point of giving squash away because they are growing faster than I can eat them.Got my first bud today
either cuke or zuc... i'm not 100% sure as i mixed/matched the planting of those
raspberries are a berry, the plant is not something he planted, so i called them wild berries...
in other news.... If any of you haven't ever tried squash blossoms, they are fucking awesome. I cut a few off the other day to have with a quinoa/cucumber/goat cheese/olive wrap that I made using one of the cucumbers. With the blossoms, I took some fresh plum, chopped it, and mixed it with the goat cheese to a smooth consistency. Then I just used a ziploc as a piping bag to fill the blossoms. Then, I used a simple batter of flour and white wine, dipped the blossoms in it and deep fried them for about 1.5-2 min. Good shit, I can't wait to cut some more off and try something different with them.
I actually was going to post it, but I want to try some different ingredients first. The olive was too overpowering on the last one so I'm gonna try a couple things that I have in mind. I'll post it up when I figure it out..And why hasn't this been posted on my website?

first harvest... a nice 10" zuccini. I was debating picking this one as it was still growing every day all week, but i hear the large ones aren't' as tasty, so i grabbed it.
The same plant has 2 more already en route as well.
tomato plants are flowering finally.
no action on the peppers at all. barely bigger than when i took them out of the starter trays.
pumpkins are growing and as are the corn and peas, but still no signs of fruits yet.
Awesome. Yea the smaller squash are better than the large ones.
