That's actually not very good. lol family plan lines are only $25 /line after the main data buy if you bring your own device.

all our work devices are 2 year contracts, i have about 119 other family members lol. kristen pays 65 a month for her BYOD iphone for voice and data. its atrocious. but the service never lets her, or us, down. and our account managers are great.

Just got mine today. I'll let everyone know how it works.

Nice my buddy just got the 5x a few months ago. He went from ATT $112/m to less then $40 on his last couple bills on Fi.

Nothing not to love about Fi IMO. WiFi is everywhere so there really isn't a reason not to be connected to it. I know sometime that is easier said that done. I still find myself forgetting to connect to WiFi when I go out but I have been getting better but I have still not used my 2GB allowance. Check your internet provider as well. I know Cox has over 400,000 Hotspots available nationwide.

I haven't paid over $37 for a cell phone bill since my first month with Fi which was $43.

Fi is definitely not for everyone. It's more for single line users and people who don't live on their phones.

Now, if only I could get Google Fiber.....

I have a 5x. Love it.

I'm thinking of switching to Fi after a few days with no service. I have cricket and am on a $50 for 10gb plan. It's pretty solid when I'm in town but the holiday opened my eyes. I had to use the fiance's phone to check my voicemail and couldn't call out/text for the entire trip unless I was out on the beach.

Only issue is I'm a heavy user and cricket satisifies my needs for data. Fi will be much more expensive.

So far, so good. Really digging the coverage of Fi. It's been a little more than a week.

Coverage is good at home, work, my dad's house, my father-in-law's house, and everywhere in between.

There's one spot on my property that doesn't get T-Mobile or Sprint, so I don't have cellular coverage, but I've got WiFi covering most of the cleared portions of the property. The handoff between cellular and WiFi is pretty good, I don't even notice it when I'm expecting it.

And the google voice -> Project Fi switch wasn't as bad as I was expecting... It's actually more convenient to have everything in Hangouts/Messenger than to have to flip between Voice and Hangouts.

Very nice. You guys have made a believer out of me.

I'm going to switch so I can lower my bill. Cricket is cheap at $55 for 10gb/mo. I'm hitting around 6-8gb right now but my service can be poor once in a while(ATT network). Monday I'm getting a work phone(iphone 6 hopefully) and I'm anticipating it carving a ton of my data use out of my personal phone. Also I'm not going to be commuting and streaming nearly as much as I was. (2-3 hours a day minimum).

i cant get down with the 1-2GB/mo caps. I easily use 10+ GB each month.

Even streaming music pretty much all the time I'm not at home, work, or in the garage, I barely got above the 0.72gb (ZERO POINT SEVEN TWO) usage.

The phone will connect to wifi if you tell it to, and it's even got a nice handler for captive portal wifi APs. I use my xfiniti login for xfiniti and other affiliated hotspots, and then if not, I use my iPASS login. The only wifi I have issues with is the stuff on airplanes, where it doesn't accept much.

I'm liking the project fi coverage, I don't have any dead spots, except a couple places on my property, and those places are covered with my wifi anyway. Earlier today I got a phone call while I was in the hotel elevator, via the hotel wifi.

And I really really really like the hangouts integration. It's really nice to just go to one app to talk to everyone.

I have better coverage with Google Fi than I had with Verizon. It's a no brainer. Wi-Fi makes all the difference in the world. text on Wi-Fi, calls on Wi-Fi, constantly connected to Wi-Fi where ever I go. For single users who are on crack using 10GB/m, you are still probably better off with Google Fi price wise.

First off, how the fuck are using 10GB+ a month. Do you spend 24/7 watching porn? Do you ever put down your phone? And...haven't you heard of wi fi?
I commute 1+hr to work each way. streaming music the whole time, so at least 2+hrs of music streaming almost every day.
my gf lives ~2hrs away, and i'm streaming music when i go to see her (every other week)

i use wifi at work and home, but if signal issues cause any slowdowns or performance issues with streaming something, i'll cut the wifi to load whatever i'm trying to view. i use free wifi in public places maybe 50% of the time (like starbucks, airports, gym, etc), but most of the time it's bogged up with all the different users, so if it's significantly slower than the cell network, i'll just switch back to cell.

as far as price, i pay ~$84/month (after all fees and taxes) with unlimited usage. nothing available can touch that price, not even plans capped at 12-15GB.

also, it's true that ATT will slow me down when i reach a certain usage limit, while a capped plan has no slowdowns, but ATT doesn't slow me down until i exceed 21GB so it's a non-issue for me.

oh and i fucking HATE the xfinity hotspots. the internet is always shit. it connects to the AP, but it acts like there's no internet access, or the speeds are so abysmal that it essentially has no access.

Lately I have been averaging 1.5-2 hours a day for a commute streaming the whole time. I have some internet usage on breaks, and I barely break a gig.
