Huh? Why? You won't need to flare them but roll the edge up to smooth it and give clearance.

Okay I was wrong. They said they would roll my fenders for me.

Man the car sounds mean as fuck. I cannot wait. Things a beast man!

Ok here's some updated pictures!!!!!

It's so close to being done. I buying some wheels and tires too. I picked out some What can you get Konig Dekagrams Matte Black 16x8 4x100 35 offset.

I need to get my turbo blanket too. We are going to wrap the downpipe.

I've decided not to ceramic coat the top mount for now. I want to get the car done. I can always pull that off later and do it.

All the piping is mocked up. Just need to weld everything. It's tack welded at the moment.

Put the top of the shifter together. Put the clutch stop in. And Hope that my rear calipers aren't seized. My left rear caliper isn't bleeding.

I might buy wilwood rear big brake calipers maybe. Or I just might get some new Si rears. Depends.

Let me know what you guys think. I'm trying hard to get her finished up. I am so close now!

******UPDATE******

I was just informed that all the intercooler piping is done and they powder coated all the piping for me as well.

Exhaust is done with exception of the end piece being welded on and just needs to be heat wrapped.

Bumper is cut for the bumper exit.

We are about to bring this project to the end. I never thought I would make it this far. What a journey this has been. Such a long project. Not sure if I will ever do it again lol.

Just waiting on the wheels, tires, and I have to replace my rear calipers. My calipers have seized up from sitting so long unfortunately.

Which I have a question about. I currently have Si rear calipers on the car.

Is there any calipers that are bigger than the Si's that I can put on the car without having to change the knuckles and spindle or drill out rotors?

I've done some research and from what I've read so far it's either wilwood, brembo, or making all these changes to make brakes from other honda models work but you have to do custom stuff to finish it.

Please give me some help if there is help to be had in this department. I really don't want to spend $900 on a wilwood kit for the rears.

Thanks.

I would keep the rear Si disc brakes. IMO no need for a bigger rear brake. They're rear and don't handle as much of the load as the fronts. Put some Hawk pads on all 4 and try that first. You go bigger brakes in the front and it stops you from running a 13" slick (15" slick in a Civic is not ideal...not enough sidewall). I'd just fix and use what you got. It's not like your building a track car. Street and drag car is solid with stock Si brakes.

Hey guys,

I took everyones advice. I put brand new Si calipers on with slotted and cross drilled rotors to match the fronts.

Here's some pics of the build so far.

Just waiting for my wheels and tires to show up, an X series AEM Wideband, and then we're tuning!!!

Can't wait to post the dyno sheets!!!

looks like steal or aluminum nuts on the manifold that is cast iron (img 2). through the heat cycles, those are going to be very hard to ever remove.

They are grade 8 bolts. You're talking about the yellow one's where the turbo mounts to the manifold?

******Small Update******

X Series AEM Wideband gauge is installed. Type R Front Seats Installed.

All I'm waiting on now is the Wheels and Tires.

Once those come in it's time for the Dyno!!!

Btw I went with different wheels. The other wheels were out of stock. So I bought a set of the RPF1's.

From what I understand these are very good wheels. They were a little pricey but I wanted good quality wheels.

I need to get some wheels for the track. Any suggestions?

Rpf1 are great for the track.

Ok but I can't use the same wheels for the track because I need slicks. Unless I buy 2 more matching wheels... If that's the case I will need to wait and save up some more.
