ha, the swap. Well, I bought my car back (for 200 less than I sold it a year ago), and it still had the turd d15 that I sold it with, so I knew I was gonna do the swap. Well, buying the car and ordering all the parts last tuesday didn't help me get it done this past weekend, so I have to get it in til next weekend. Not doing anything special for now, as I'm just trying to get it running well so I can sell my Neon for some extra cash in my pocket. I do fully expect this motor to be a LOT more fun than the D15. I'll get some pics of it going in the car up this weekend hopefully.

Again, keep up the amazing build. Can't wait to see what kinda times you post with that car. It's gonna be clean too, and that's what counts to me.

Oh it'll be TONS more fun than the D15. Thats a pretty decent power jump. You'll love it.

Hopefully it will be done within the next month, I wish it would be done sooner but things always get in the way lol. But yeah, I'm trying to keep it clean, very simple, and quick.

UPDATE: The primer/filler is going on the car right now.. and its white ^.^ my car looks really wierd white. But anyway, I'm now realizing why I did all the prep work, its really paying off. This car is REALLY flat and VERY straight. I have two dents to focus on, if the primer/filler layer doesnt take care of that some filler will

Moral to the story is: Prep work is everything, the sanding prior to paint is just as critical as the paint itself.

How difficult would you rate the prep work? Sanding, wet sanding, priming, and the painting?

If its not to difficult I'm probably going to paint my 240 soon.

It depends on what you start with. If the car is already pretty flat/straight its not too bad. If you have a big project such as lots of filling/replacing panels it would be a lot harder and take a lot more care and time to do it right.

I haven't actually painted the car yet. Its just primer. It took me all day today to block the car and get it flat. But man, its incredibly straight. I got rid of all the door dings and what not. Looks great.

Again, the prep work really paid off. The shaved areas look as if there was never a hole there. I love the way this is turning out. Hopefully some updates tomorrow if I am not too tired after work.

Black again. But I think this time I am going to go with Nighthawk black. I'm still undecided though, there are quite a few variations of black.

Yep, I picked out the paint today. Its black outside of the light but has a pretty heavy blue hue to it when its in the light. I'll post the exact name tomorrow, it might be Nighthawk black pearl but I'm too tired to remember ^_^

I spent 4 1/2 hours cleaning the shop. Its extremely clean, hopefully everything turns out well. Tomorrow is the day! Laying down the base and clear. I'm sure I'll have PLENTY of pics tomorrow and sunday. Hopefully by monday I can roll it outside and take some pics in the light.

Not really sure about your problem, you could have something hooked up wrong. Not exactly sure what though, Im not too familiar with the older swaps.

Cool thing man, Im going thru the same thing as you are with this wires... I got a 89 crx si with a b18b that my boy and I are doing...My car still not starting at all thanks to the wiring done by the previous owner,I bought it with a b18a1 swap already done, ended up buying a b18b did the swap now I got plugs that dont go on the same spots as before,glad you got yours done :

Thanks alot I live in Washington. So it will not see much winter driving, too much road salt..

Yeah thats kinda the problem I had. I had a few little door dings here and there and I just decided to fix em all. I was sick of looking at them.

Anyway, as for progress tonight nothing crazy but some good progress nonetheless. I sprayed another coat of epoxy sealer on the car and the fenders/hood/fuel door/spoiler and I can see a few places that need minor work. I'm sure most people would just go straight to the color and call it good, but I'm not that type of guy. Monday I'll be laying another light coat of sandable primer on the car and wetsanding again. This time I'll strip everything off the car and re mask the whole deal.

There are a couple spots where there are some light sanding marks showing, and I just simply cannot have that.
