Keep the GSR head. No sense in getting a B16 head only to drop your compression ratio. Stick with the GSR head, throw some P30 pistons in that bitch with some cams and you might hit that 200whp.
This^
I say run 3" no cat, use a 22" long resonator and magnaflow muffler. Mine sounds great and YOU WILL PICK UP HP WITH 3" over a 2.5".

Right, but it's still the same head casting. Not trying to be argumentative here lol. That B16 casting head on the TypeR also has some mild porting done. Which you would not get on a standard B16 head.
Well.....wing might go back on after all. GL with your car man.nice teg sir..just need to fill the trunk holes flush.instead of pluggin them lol, bout to be pickin up same year, model an color teg,but has ls-t,

i thought 3 inch was over kill with
a only slightly modded car. i thought you wanted
some back pressure and none with forced induction
This is a myth and completely untrue.
The compression calculator came up with 11.53:1 after P30 pistons. I'm fine with that. You're not arguing, you're agreeing with me that it is the same casting.
Stick with the GSR head for more compression. End of story.
Too many variables man...A very prevalent and at times hotly debeter MYTH.There are others as well: Mention brakes, specifically rotors, porting, catylytic converters and power loss, manifold flow (basic fliud dynamics and laminar flow properties and length -vs- RPM, "Q" of tuning) and so on......Too many times people will post and argue only what they have read and not what they have done firsthand.
Thats what I aim for.Hey Brad, this thread and project/build is begining to have overtones of EPIC.
well what i have learned first hand is that,
turboed with open DP pulled harder, and
on my 90 integra we gutted the cat and
removed the muffler to install a magnaflo ( i was 15)
and so with no cat or muffler we decided to
drive it and mess around and it was noticably slower.
but no dyno to prove this so thats that.
low end, slower.. top end, faster
Can I haz dat powerbandz plz? So a 10 HP gain plus a bit of torque, I'm down! Now would a stock GSR motor with a descent intake+header take well to 3" until it's built?
I get to insure the teg tonight!
I'm think I'm following the full trail here. Not suggesting your results don't stand on their own merit.well what i have learned first hand is that,
