my d15b swap

as you all know i just bought a d15b swap from HMO, i took some pics of the swap to show you all my new sohc rocket

as a joke we made a new hmo sticker

these are some pics of me and a few HT members getting my old bastard of a motor out

in this pic you can see my new fender and my axel pulled out to yank out my old bitch of a motor

this is me saying good bye to my old d15

here we are getting the old guy ot of my hatchy, you can see that the engine bay is dirty as fuck

here you can see how dirty the fire wall is and at this time we noticed we needed to take the raiditor off

tring to get her clean

here we are getting the new motor ready to drop in

these next two picks were getting the flywheel and clutch on the new block

here is misc shots of wiring, we used my cx harness and pulled all the wires need for vtec from the d15b and added em th the cx harness.

in this pic you can see were we added wires in on the strut wall plugs

AND WE ARE DONE

it took a total of 9 hours with goofing off and eating
it fired up no cells with 300 miles on it in two days still running with no problems

i reused my clutch from my old motor cuz it was still good. it works great. my wheels are heavy, i think my flywheel evens it out but oh well. it moves real good

It looks that maybe you can help me 92CivicCx for my vtec swap. Probably by the end of this summer i will be getting a vtec d15 or d16 swap for my del sol. And say good bye to my fucking d15b8. But good job in the swap.

Congrats man, I am on my second motor, that has yet to make it into my car, and i have had this one for about 5 months now, and it is still no where near being done. I have not even finished porting my head. lol. Sweet ride too man.

looks great man. it took me a while to do my d16z6 swap, because i kept running into all kinds of bullshit. about a month or so if i remember right. maybe a little less.
