Basically he's saying there's nothing to protest, because if you can't find a job that suits your abilities and interests, you should be a soldier for the largest corporate controlled military on the planet. Herp derp, I hope his taxpayer funded time at college manages to pull his head out of his ass. Moron.
How do you know what he is saying? Maybe you should stop making wild presumptions about people and their beliefs.
Being in the military is a calculated sacrifice. Someone else owns you. It's not all smooth sailing and frankly, the pay isn't all that great either, much like in real life, until you reach higher ranks.
It's not that there isn't anything to protest because there are THOUSANDS of things related to our socio-economic problems worth protesting.
The problem everyone else has with the OWS protests, and the problem you consistently fail to acknowledge, is the entitlement mindset espoused by a large constituency of these people. It is emblematic of a much larger problem.
Protest misuse of taxpayer money...protest corruption...protest mismanagement of individuals' retirement accounts/mortgages/insurance products, etc.
But don't tack on "free college for every American" (on their published list of demands)...what the fuck is that? Why on Earth would you ask for that? How is that related to corporate corruption?
I don't understand why you keep defending people that are making statements in clear opposition to many of the beliefs that I know (from having read your posts for four years) you hold...i.e. not having your income swindled away from you by a socialistic national regime, and funneled into programs for the lazy and entitled (read: OWS)...because that is EXACTLY what they are asking for.
