mdpseg you sure do catch a lot of nice fish lol!

Just last month I payed $22.xx for a 3 day fishing licence and i didnt even catch a buzz.

went fishing sunday for 3 hours.....i caught 12 sunfish...no lie.....not one trout....bottom fishing with meal worm and marshmallows....unreal....so far this season i've caught 2 trout, 1 bass...and about 20-30 sunfish...fyi i have only pond fished so far...but i have the big pole ready for some stripers out of the CT river so i'm getting excited about that...just waiting for my buddy to get a pole...

Me and a friend went out for a little yesterday in the old strip mine ponds by my house, tons of fish caught a few good size crappies and a monster sunfish on a medium size spinner. Ive never caught sunfish/bluegill with a jig it was crazy.

i absolutley hate when your fighting a fish just to find out its a sun/blue...
they piss me off...
on a side note.the navy base here in ct has a little lake that they stock with bass..pretty damn fun fishing if your not going for real competition..

you can have a lot of fun on a ultralight spinning setup and a tiny beetle spin (my favorite is black with yellow stripe). ive caught a whole lotta sunfish of all types on that, particularly in shallow or weedy areas.

its always fun when a bass grabs it, a real nice fight on 4 or 6 lb test.

went fishing this morning, caught 3 small tarpon (lots of fun on light rod), several snapper, and a ladyfish. i love gettin out there early in the morning all by myself and catching some fish.

I'm going to Niantic on Saturday with my buddy...we're going after the big boys.....i'll post some pics if i catch any lol

Went fishing on the Potomac yesterday. We went trolling for stripers for about a half-hour and after nothing, decided to bottom fish for croakers. After about 3 hours we caught 11 croakers, ranging from 0.5 pounds to 2.5 pounds. I'll post pictures when I get them developed (took on a disposable camera in case the camera fell in the water). Not the biggest fish but it was a great day of fishing nonetheless!

caught a few fish this morning... most notably two small bull sharks way up a tidal creek. they had apparently moved in with the high tide and were smashing schools of mullet. i had some fresh sardines and they liked those too :) it was a lot of fun on 10lb test.

heres a couple pics....

Me and my buddy Rob hooked up on a sting ray a few nights ago. Using squid as bait we just tossed it into the Potomac river and let it sit on the bottom. String ray is a bottom feeder and just sucked it right up. At first we thought it was a skate but when we finally got it in its tail definitely had a stinger on it. We emailed the fishery department and they confirmed it was a cownose ray.

It took us about 45 minutes to reel this sucker in and it was smart! When it got close it tried TWICE go under the pier and wrap itself around a pylon. Me and my buddy Rob passed the rod to each other back and forth underneath the deck in order to stop the line from breaking. This guy definitely was a fighter. They can get up to 36" and this one was 32". All in all it was probably 25-30 pounds. I attached a picture but its pretty shitty cuz it was late and from my cellphone.

:)
