    Crank Bearings....

Well, I know I have to drop the pan, but if the crank bearings are bad, it is possible to change them, and it's even possible to pull the crank with the engine still in? How is that? wouldn't I have to pull the tranny to get the crank off considering it's attatched to the flywheel? If I have to...

    Crank Bearings....

Ok, The CRX is off the road ( Boosted B18A ) and the engine seized this summer while I was driving slightly after hearing a rattling noise from the bottom of the engine. I am assuming it was a crank bearing going bad. This was just after the engine severely overheated earlier that day without me...

Burning enough oil to choke on

Figured it out.... I feel like an idiot. Sparkplugs. Ya live and ya learn I guess. UPDATE: todays problem: bad headgasket, coolant leaking into cylinders. RESULT: Hydro lock. Time to buy a new block I guess.

Burning enough oil to choke on

Is 192psi a good rating for each cylinder? Does it definitely not sound like rings? i would hate to have to pull the engine out and rebuild it AGAIN if it only needs head work.

Burning enough oil to choke on

B18A, stock pistons/rings, cometic head gasket (just replaced today) and all cylinders are showing a compression test of 192psi per cylinder exactly. The second I start up the car, it runs like shit, Blows out TONS of oil smoke, and cylinders 2-3 have oil dripping off of the plugs. Compression...

    Timing problem...

I am having a problem timing my b18a in my crx, mainly because I lost the timing belt cover and never installed it on my engine. It has that little needle that lines up with the marks on the underdrive pulley, thus without it I cannot time the engine properly. Is there another way to time the...

What could be the problem and where is this sensor? I also have an erratic idle due to bad timing. Could this have soemthing to do...

    GSR Clutch Fork Keeps Breaking!!!

My roommate has a 94 del sol with a B18C1 swap. About a month and a half ago, we had to replace the clutch fork (a lever that transfers power from the hydro system to the actual clutch itself) that broke in half for some reason. It's starting to bend and break again. We cannot figure out why...

OBD-0 Throttle body on Skunk 2 manifold?

A friend of mine has a B17A, ITR head, and an OBD-1 Skunk 2 manifold in his EF hatch. He has the throttle body from an OBD-0 B16A on the skunk2 manifold. Would that explain certain problems with vacuum and idle? Do we need to get an OBD-1 throttle body? the vehicle is still wired for OBD-0

    B18C Tranny help....

Ok, 93 Del Sol swapped with a B18C (hydro tranny) the other day it died, the clutch will not disengage. Tore the tranny out, found an "arm" that pushes the throw-out bearing when it is levered by the hydro fluid. Or something. It broke in half pretty much. Stage III clutch, so the dealership...

    Fuel Management for B18A turbo...

I have a B18A with a 50 trim T3/T4 and TONS of aftermarket parts. I will be running 8psi daily on stock internals, fully re-built, and front-mounted. I have AEM fuel rail, Stock injectors, JG Victor-X manifold, AEM FPR, and Walbro 255lph fuel pump. For electronic management, I was thinking of...

    88 CRX w/ B18a1 handling question

hmm... sounds like torque steer. The B18 puts out considerably more torque than your old engine, and the right wheel being closer to the transmission gets more power. If you give it gas, or when you shift, it's inevitable that you will feel it pull to the right.

How big can I bore a B18A Throttle Body?

My friend is a machinest, and he said he would be able to bore my throttle body off my OBD0 LS motor if I told him how big he can do it. Does anybody know how big I can bore a stock LS throttle body to? And how big is it right now? - Thanks

V-AFC Tuning for GSR Del Sol

Ok, I just sold my V-AFC (version 1) to my friend who has a GSR swap in his Del Sol. The motor is pretty much stock except for i/h/e, and a few other minor bolt ons. P72 ECU, etc.. etc.. We were curious to some people with the same swap how he should map the fuel. Right now it is +2 fuel trim...

    Buying parts for B18A....

Ok, it is OBD0 and B18A, but I guess my question is that wouldn't say an AEM fuel rail for 94-01 be the same for my motor?

    Buying parts for B18A....

I have an OBD0 B18A (LS) motor that I'm in the process of building. I'm gathering parts such as Edelbrock Victor-X manifold, AEM fuel rail, Fuel pressure regulator, etc..., But a bunch of this stuff listed on eBay (good prices) say 94-01 Integra B18. I'm not sure, but I think my motor came out...

    Need Quiet, good flowing exhaust

88 CRX Si - What to go with... I have stock muffler on my car right now, but it doesn't flow good enough. I'm about to drop in LS/Turbo, so I'm assuming I'm going to need a better flowing exhaust. BUT, I don't want that loud ricey sound coming from my car. Is there any after-market...

    B18A to 88 CRX Si

Ok... CRX Si is getting a B18A. I have it already. The swap came with wiring harness/ECU. Will the ECU plug right in? How about the engine wiring harness? will that plug right in to the wires that go to the ECU?? Or will I have to splice wires? I also have questions about Vacuum routing. Is...
